Patients
who have undergone weight loss surgery, such as, Gastric Bypass or
Gastric Banding have unique problems after massive weight loss. These
patients may have lost as little as 100 pounds or more than 400 pounds.
They have large amounts of excess skin in some areas and a loss of
volume in other areas, causing serious deformities.
Breasts - After weight loss surgery the breasts often lose their shape and sag since there is little volume left to fill the skin envelope that has lost its elasticity. These breasts may need a lift, augmentation or a combination of both procedures, in order to approve appearance.

Abdomen
- After weight loss surgery there is a large amount of hanging skin
from the abdomen, known as the panniculus, which may cause skin
infections and eventual skin breakdown. This can be treated with a
panniculectomy, abdominoplasty, or a circumferential body lift in order
to improve appearance. These procedures will tighten the muscles of the
abdominal wall, which have been stretched due to excess weight.

Thighs - After weight loss surgery there is a large amount of hanging skin in the medial or lateral thighs which may cause skin irritation or skin breakdown. This can be treated with a medial or lateral thigh lift that will remove the excess skin resulting in an improved appearance.

Arms- After weight loss surgery there maybe a large amount of hanging skin from the upper arms resulting in a “bat-wing”
appearance. This can be treated with a brachioplasty or arm lift that
will remove the excess skin and fat from this region. After
brachioplasty the arms will appear more trim, firm and smooth.
Buttock-
After weight loss surgery many patients have significant excess skin
and fat in the buttock area, which remain after weight loss surgery. A
buttock lift can remove skin and fat, to tighten loose and flabby skin
in this area.
